What is the Mercedes Benz F-Cell? Alt Car Expo

Mercedes Benz has a test pilot program for their F-Cell, hydrogen powered EV with zero emissions. Tiffany Paige of Green With Tiffany caught up with Tyler Brown of Mercedes Benz. There are 70 vehicles on the road as part of the program on a 2 or 3 year lease. The F-Cell is a fully electric vehicle that uses compressed hydrogen to generate the electricity that the vehicle uses.

Currently there are a small, but growing network of filling stations for fuel cell vehicles. The refueling experience is just like at a regular gas station and takes less than 10 minutes.

The 10th Annual Alt Car Expo is coming to Santa Monica September 18 & 19th, 2015 in Santa Monica. http://www.altcarexpo.com

You can test drive alternative fuel vehicles without pressure and for free 🙂

Wiki definition: A fuel cell vehicle (FCV) or fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) is a type of vehicle which uses a fuel cell to power its on-board electric motor. Fuel cells in vehicles create electricity to power an electric motor, generally using oxygen from the air and compressed hydrogen.
